Curriculum vitae
He was born in 1957 in Zaros, a village on the southern slopes of Mount Psiloritis—an environment that shaped his early understanding of landscape, scale, and the deep connection between people and place.
He studied architecture at the University of Florence (graduation thesis supervised by Professor Adolfo Natalini -1981), where he was influenced by the reflective and human-centered approach of Italian architectural education, with strong emphasis on historical continuity and context-sensitive design.
Since 1982, he has been actively practicing architecture, working on a wide range of studies for buildings, urban interventions, restorations, and cultural heritage projects. His work is mainly focused in Crete, where he has established deep knowledge of the island’s architectural character and planning challenges.
He holds an official license for public works studies in the categories of Urban & spatial planning and Special architectural projects.
